Approach

Building from scratch, the PHMP website derived its main content from sales documents and PowerPoints. Selective editing whittled the “business-speak” language into something readable to a consumer audience.

I worked with key stakeholders -- sales, executives, legal -- to ensure the edited content maintained its accuracy and adhered to legal standards.

The limitations of the WordPress builder used at the time required handcrafted HTML and CSS for its main pages, including the benefits page and the blog formatting.

Key Decisions

  • Prominent display of the product’s main benefits, organized by how much and often they were utilized
  • Condensed, accessible text for main content and blog posts
  • Diverse imagery reflecting the rural, working class audience
